Tears, Trials, and Travels
My husband went to be with Jesus in May 2016. Yes, I'm still grieving. I homeschool my kids. If you were in my position, wouldn't you travel around the country for a year?

Christmas Letter 2016

Holiday Greetings from the Jones Family

I am sooo sad that I’m not sending you my typical Video Christmas Card this year, but we’ve had everything in our house break down this year, including our Computer, and Caleb installed new Video Editing Software onto it, and I don’t have time to learn to use it right now.

This is just a QUICK recap for those of you who don’t know how we are doing.

First of all, if you have helped out our family in anyway this year (and you probably did), thank you so much, I’ve never been more blessed in my life.  Excuse me for not sending personal thank you notes.  You are appreciated.

So you are probably wondering how things have been since Adam passed away.  Well, it’s obviously been hard, but as I mentioned, we’ve been super blessed.  I may not have my parents around to help out 100 hours a week, but I have 100 friends who can help out an hour a week (not literally, but you get it, right?).

Caleb:

Caleb continued writing books (or refining his previous books).  Check out his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CalebJonesAuthor/ for more information on his books if you are interested.  He also went on a Mission Trip to Mexico in June, and then went to visit my sister in California later in the summer.  After that, he has spent a lot of his extra time acting in a “bit part” in a local Christian movie.  It will be in theaters briefly and will make it to DVD.  More info here: http://www.facebook.com/ahighschoolstory/

Zoe:

Zoe continued dancing.  She is in Hip Hop at a local studio and enjoys it.  She practices weekly and has performances at various events in the city.  Her big accomplishment for the year is finally being able to do a “front walkover”.  She’s also doing vision therapy right now (physical therapy for your eyes).

Harmony:

Harmony has spent the year learning to play the violin.  She also joined the softball team.  She is great at both and loves them both.

Me:

Well, I’ve spent most of the last 7 ½ months grieving, healing, and catering to my children.  I’m not really working right now (except an occasional 2 hour shift here and there stocking books, and managing the Social Media for my friend’s Curves Clubs).  Still homeschooling and mostly just planning for the future.  If you haven’t heard the “Big Announcement” please read it on this site here:  http://www.tearstrialsandtravels.com/2016/12/04/the-beginning-of-a-new-journey/  While you are here or there, please subscribe to this site so you can continue hearing about our lives, since I only send a Christmas letter once a year (this way you can hear about what’s going on more often).  Blessings to you this year.
