Tears, Trials, and Travels
My husband went to be with Jesus in May 2016. Yes, I'm still grieving. I homeschool my kids. If you were in my position, wouldn't you travel around the country for a year?

When are you leaving?

So apparently my big announcement came with one big question…. “When are you leaving”?  Well, this journey has been great because I’m doing everything to not be frantic and pressured.  We’ve already changed our plans once.  Harmony will be doing softball again this year and the season ends in July.  Therefore, we are leaving in July.  I don’t want my kids to miss out on anything this year.

“we are leaving in July”

We have many repairs to make (nothing bad, but just stuff that needs to be fixed or upgraded), I need to learn how to drive it, we need to plan the trip, figure out what curriculum to get for the next year (that will correspond with places we go)… Plus I need to finish fixing up the house (painting, moving furniture etc), rent it out, take care of all the other little details…. and stuff like that.  In the meantime, we’ll hopefully get enough fixed up on it that we can take the RV out in March and April a few times and then the hope is that we’ll take it to Southern California for the big Practice Trip.  Then we’ll take it out a few more times in the summer.  The new Spiderman movie comes out on July 14th, Harmony’s end of the year tournament is HOPEFULLY on July 15th and 16th and we would leave July 17th in order to make it to San Diego ComicCon the following weekend (nevermind, long story that’s not happening).  If the tournament isn’t that weekend, I’m pretty sure we will still be leaving July 17th.

We will come back in September and then again at the end of December and finally come back at the end of March so that Zoe won’t miss her Gymnastics Camp she does every year in March for her birthday (and if Harmony still enjoys it, softball will start around then).  Of course if Harmony ends of hating softball, maybe we’ll go out for another month or two.  Who knows.  I will post a general calendar (at least for the first leg) at some point.  Stay tuned and Subscribe to my posts if you haven’t or you’ll never know!
